Lukka has always loved fashion and pursued his studies in design and fashion with a distinction. The next logical step was creating his own fashion brand. He often visits London and the East London is a huge inspiration for his designs. He also loves street style mixed with his passion for vintage stuff and the result is gorgeous designs by Lukka. He will be presenting his new collection at the New Designers Fashion Show this Sunday as part of Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week.
1: What inspired you for the collection that you will be presenting during Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week 2015?
In the new collection my inspiration is vintage mixed with modern. It is the perfect combination for someone that loves class and at the same time it is wearable and super outstanding.
2: What are the main trends this season in your opinion?
The main trend for this season from street style is fishnet stuff and fairy stuff but everyone has his own style nowadays so there is nothing in particular I would say.
3: What inspired you to create your own fashion brand?
I do visit regularly London and I love the east where there is a lot of different people from all around the globe where you find different styles , culture and religions.
4: Is this the first time you participate in Malta Fashion Week and have you also participated in any other Fashion events abroad?
No it’s not, it’s my 2nd time I’m showcasing this year .
5: Which international brands do you follow or inspire you?
There are so many designers, which work I love as I’m always hooked up on Fashion TV when I’m free at home 🙂 I do like local once as well but favorites are Moschino and Vivienne Westwood .
6: Do you have plans to expand outside of Malta?
I would love to move to UK and will expand my brand there.
7: What kind of designs do you enjoy doing most?
I do love vintage stuff and that’s the fundamental in my brand.
8: What would you like to achieve, what are your future plans and is there a brand which success you would like to follow?
I’m happy with my work done so far and can’t wait to show my new collection out there …. No I can’t reveal anything 😉
