Eymeric Francois is a synonym for beauty unique design and femininity with his stunning dresses that just cannot not be adored and desired. Needless saying I would just die to have one of his pieces because to me it would simply mean having a piece of history that will never lose its value. Having spent his first years at Thierry Mugler and Lacroix Eymeric knows how to make the woman adorable, sexy and the centre of attention at any point in time. 1: What inspired you for the collection that you will be presenting during Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week 2015?
The ” Midnight in Paris” couture collection is a personal vision of Paris.
I’m born in Paris, and I’m crazy about my town, his history and I’m always looking to search for what means “Parisian elegance”.
In this collection, all the idea is a mix between Retro elegance and a night part more sexy, which is also very Parisian to my mind.
2: What are the main trends this season in your opinion?
I don’t know and don’t really take care of trends…. My objective for my 15 years into Fashion is to create a Style, an identity, I never respect any trends except the ones I create for a season.
3: What inspired you to become a fashion designer and have your own brand?
I never dreamed to be Fashion designer when I was child. I just went into the Art school, and started falling in love to work around women bodies and make women more beautiful, elegant and feminine.
My first years with Thierry Mugler and Christian Lacroix finished to make me understand I was at my place into Fashion design.
4: What other international venues have you presented your collections at?
I already presented my collections all over the world.
The most important place for me is of course my show in Paris during Haute-Couture week. Then I already presented from Tokyo to Los Angeles, from Saudia Arabia to Poland, from Jamaïque to Qatar.
And to finish, I present each season in Serbia, during Serbia Fashion Week, a Fashion Week for which one I’m in charge of the Art Direction.
5: Which international brands do you follow or inspire you?
All brands can inspire me, from Couture brands, international ones and even young designers are very interesting to discover, to follow and to help !
6: What kind of designs do you enjoy doing most?
I enjoy to create very différent kind of clothes, of course Corset and evening dresses which are my favorites but also tailor suit, or day wear.
For 6 years now, I only create unique pieces so the pleasure is always the same and complete!
7: What would you like to achieve, what are your future plans and is there a brand which success you would like to follow?
Just to still create and still having the same pleasure to innovate and dressed women. I definitely can’t work without passion.
